B4RN Reach The Centre Of Great Britain

The centre of Great Britain.

The hardy volunteers of Dunsop Bridge have helped B4RN reach the centre of Great Britain!

National Grid reference SD 63770 56550 is famed for being the exact centre of GB and its 401 associated isles.

Volunteers were there in early February, learning how to handle, cut, label and end cap 7mm ducting. Once prepped in this way, the contractor can come along an mole plough it into the ground.

All the properties behind Puddle Ducks Cafe and the e bike shop will soon be ready for fibre and the B4RN service, benefiting from the best connection in the country.

Householders just need to complete the final dig from the hedge to the property and arrange for a house kit to be fitted. Check with your local volunteer group how you can get ready for B4RN if you are in the area, and don’t forget to register for a BDUK voucher – there are only a few weeks of the scheme remaining, don’t miss out!

Stories from out in the field from our very happy customers

One residential customer in Over Kellet used to know whether it was worth firing up her computer by looking out of her front window to see what the weather was doing with her telephone line.

OMG it is amazing! I don’t want to go back to London, which was faster than here, but not now! Just to say a BIG THANK YOU to all you guys, what a great thing you are doing. I’m shocked not everyone is signing up!

After lambing 1300 ewes a good film is what I want to watch and because we have B4RN that is no problem. Just enables me and my family to get on.
