How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
To arrange and deliver broadband plus related services under contract
To raise investment for the society
To establish wayleaves and access
We use the information that you have given us to:
Arrange, deliver, maintain, broadband and related services.
Provide functionality within our mobile app “B4RN Voice”; Phone numbers and users’ contact list phone numbers are collected only if the user allows it by accepting the in-app disclosure message. If accepted, the numbers are shared only to our API (Application Programming Interface) to establish a call. Email addresses and a users’ contact list email addresses are collected for all contacts in the list only if allowed via settings and configs. The app shares the MD5 hash of the email address with Gravatar to provide avatar images.

Engage with the Government Benefit Entitlement Check API for social tariff Customers where consent is given to do so.
Engage with volunteers and contractors to support customers and facilitate growth of the network.

How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored on our own servers and in some cases paper format. We may use other providers for additional secure services, such as processing payments and as part of the one touch switching process.
We keep personal information for seven years beyond the term of your contract, wayleave, or investment, unless there is a legal obligation or reasonable reason to do so. We will then erase your digital records and securely destroy your paper records.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
