Position: Civils Operative

Salary: £24,876
Location: Based in Melling, Lancashire

Contract: Full Time, 35 hours per week plus overtime

We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Civils Operative with the ability to operate machinery to help build and maintain our award-winning fibre network

What you’ll do:

·         Install ducting, chambers and associated equipment across varied terrains

·         Lay concrete plinths and install cabinets for our fibre network

·         Help with fibre optic cabling, splicing and network remedial works

·         Service and maintain existing infrastructure to keep communities connected

·         Work from network designs, ensuring installations meet agreed plans

·         Participate in an on-call rota to support our 24/7 service commitments.

What you’ll need:

·         A full, valid driving licence

·         A commitment to gain your NRSWA Streetworks Operative licence (fully funded by B4RN)

·         Practical skills and willingness to work outdoors in all weather

·         Commitment to quality, safety and teamwork.

·         Experience operating excavators and other machinery (ideally NPORS operators’ card)
