The Kirkoswald Project now has an “Artist in Residence” capturing the beginning of the volunteers’ B4RN build.

Irene Sanderson – who’s based in the Eden Valley – has already done a number of sketches.

She said: “Thank you for allowing me to be there! Very Exciting!

“What an honour to be an Artist in Residence! We shall have to organise an exhibition! It is such a wonderful opportunity to explore the nooks and crannies of this parish and its dwellers.”

Irene works primarily with ink on paper and has studied art in Japan and China – find out more about her work on her website.

Volunteer with the Kirkoswald project, Brian Smythe, said: “It was a revelation and delight to see this work of Irene’s evolve on site.

“The steering group are delighted with these sketches and for her support to the project.”

Stories from out in the field from our very happy customers

One residential customer in Over Kellet used to know whether it was worth firing up her computer by looking out of her front window to see what the weather was doing with her telephone line.

OMG it is amazing! I don’t want to go back to London, which was faster than here, but not now! Just to say a BIG THANK YOU to all you guys, what a great thing you are doing. I’m shocked not everyone is signing up!

After lambing 1300 ewes a good film is what I want to watch and because we have B4RN that is no problem. Just enables me and my family to get on.
