Another Cumbrian village now has broadband speeds which compete with the fastest networks in the world, thanks to local volunteers with the help of B4RN.
Heversham went ‘live’ today (Wednesday 30th September), with the first 44 new customers joining B4RN’s 1Gbps symmetrical full fibre service.
Property connections were made over the last few days, with local volunteers John, Iain and Barry (dubbed the “three musketeers”) also learning how to fuse.
The trio, alongside another local volunteer, Fiona, also received their spade awards and MBEs (Member of the B4RN Empire).

B4RN’s Jorj always finds a way to get duct through! We often say “Where theres a Will, there’s a way.”
Its fast, but not as fast as B4RN!
A B4RN bus and a splicing team of engineers come to Heversham to bring the cabinet live. Thanks for splicing it all and getting it live. Danny, Alex, Kit, James, Steve, Jorj and Jon. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Here are Barry and Iain checking on the engineers and patching the first customers into their cabinet. Fantastic team effort, even in the rain.
