B4RN and its army of volunteers have been nominated for an award by ISPA!
The Internet Services Providers’ Association has announced its finalists – with B4RN up for the “Best Rural ISP” prize.
We’re among 33 finalists across 12 categories – but one shortlist has yet to be announced for the Internet Hero, which we won in 2012 https://b4rn.org.uk/b4rn-wins-ispa-internet-hero-award/
Perhaps among the aforementioned army of B4RN volunteers is ISPA’s “Internet Hero”. The nominations for that gong will come from the public, with ISPA announcing details of how to do so in the coming months.
ISPA’s Secretary General, Nick Lansman, said: “This year’s shortlisted ISPA Awards finalists demonstrate the high calibre and diversity of ISPs across the UK, who continue to drive growth and innovation across the internet industry.
“In a year where we have been in and out of lockdowns, ISPs stepped up their efforts to provide vital services and technological advances to keep the UK’s digital economy pumping, driving innovation and the rollout and delivery of key infrastructure.
“We are all looking forward to an exciting evening which celebrates the best that the UK industry has to offer.”

The presentation ceremony is due to take place on 4th November at the Sheraton Grand Park Lane Hotel in London.
