B4RN features in a dedicated handbook made by the European Commission to help with the rollout of broadband into remote areas.
The ‘Broadband Handbook‘ has case studies from the UK and other countries to help rural policy makers and broadband project managers.
The 46 page document is intended to be a useful starting point for anybody considering their own network.
Part one details why investment should be made in rural and remote areas; outlines the technological solutions; and details funding options.
Part two is examples of good practice where remote communities have solved the issue of broadband connectivity, including B4RN.
