Annual Interest

Annual Interest and End of Year Options

Your shares in B4RN earn interest at a rate of 5% throughout the financial year.

Interest is paid gross once a year on the 31st of March, our year-end, and a share interest statement is produced informing you of the total interest earned in the financial year (the annual interest).

You then have the following two options regarding the annual interest.

Option A: Convert it into shares and add them to your shareholding.

You do not need to do anything to select this option; at our year-end, the annual interest will automatically be added as new shares to your account.

Option B: Request that it be paid to you

In which case it will not be converted into shares and won't be added to your shareholding.

The choice is completely up to you. We value you, our shareholders, and the investment you have put into B4RN - your Community Benefit Society. Your continued support allows us to provide world-class broadband into places no operators are willing to go, and with our customers we are able to support and maintain the network in our communities long into the future.

Stories from out in the field from our very happy customers

One residential customer in Over Kellet used to know whether it was worth firing up her computer by looking out of her front window to see what the weather was doing with her telephone line.
