Are you looking to start a career in Network Engineering? We are seeking Trainee Network Engineers to join our team, where you will gain hands-on experience in fibre optic installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and build a foundation in the telecommunications industry.
About the Role
As a Trainee Network Engineer, you will play a key role in the installation and maintenance of our fibre optic network, ensuring reliable connectivity for our customers. Working both indoors and outdoors, you will be involved in fibre optic cabling, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to support our next-generation broadband service.
Key Responsibilities
Install and maintain fibre optic cabling for both inside and outside plant networks
Perform fusion splicing of core, edge and customer fibre cables
Test and troubleshoot fibre installations using specialist equipment
Conduct essential maintenance on network infrastructure and equipment
Assist with network fault resolution, including participation in an on-call rota
Maintain accurate records of installations, faults, and changes
What We’re Looking For
A willingness to learn and develop technical skills in network engineering
Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
A full, valid driving licence (essential)
Flexibility to work unsociable hours, travel and stay away from home when required
A strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
