Network Outage RESOLVED: Thursday 18th April 8:45am - Crook: Engineers will soon be on site to commence repairs on the fibre damaged yesterday evening that left 13 customers without service. Update 11:17am: We are seeing customer connections being restored. All customers should have service restored shortly. Update 12:06pm: Service has been restored to all customers. Network Outage RESOLVED: Wednesday 17th of April 7:21pm - Crook: We are aware of an issue in the Crook area and are investigating the cause. Update 8:05pm: We are now aware of damage to our fibre and the location. Engineers will soon be on site to assess the damage. Update 10:12pm: The majority of customers have had service restored. A number of customers in the area of the damaged fibre will be restored tomorrow when the fibre is repaired.

Update 2:58pm: Engineers have been dispatched. Update 5:30pm: We have identified an issue with a backhaul circuit. We are working with third party engineers to resolve the issue. Sky TV issue RESOLVED: Wednesday 20th of March: We are receiving reports from customers having issues with Sky TV products such as Sky Glass etc. We are not aware of any issues on our network that could be causing these issues. However, we are undertaking investigations as a precaution. Update 2:17p.m.: We are getting reports that this issue seems to be resolved. We couldn't see any issues on our own network.

Emergency Maintenance COMPLETE: Wednesday 13th March 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. - Cautley: Due to extensive damage sustained to our fibre on Tuesday 12th, engineers will be effecting repairs. All Cautley customers will be without service during this period. Update 11:00a.m.: Extracting the damaged fibre took longer than anticipated. We are still working toward a 3:00p.m completion and are bringing in more engineers. However, there is a possibility we may overrun up to 5:00p.m. Update 3:00p.m.: The repair is taking longer than anticipated. Best estimate at present is 6:30pm. Customer connections will start to be restored shortly. Update 3:50p.m.: We are seeing customer connections being restored. Update 6:40p.m.: Engineers are still on site restoring connections. Update 9:00p.m.: All customers have service restored. We have an issue with one connection where the customer has been informed. Network Outage RESOLVED: Tuesday 11th March 2:02p.m. - Cautley: We are aware of damage to our fibre which has caused 10 customers to lose service. Engineers are en route to investigate. This is unlikely to be repaired today. More information will follow when engineers have completed their investigation.

Network Issues RESOLVED: Tuesday 11th of March 9:26a.m. - Norfolk: An earlier issue which was resolved may mean your router may have lost service. Network Outage RESOLVED: Friday 29th December 23:30 - Allen Valleys: We are aware of an outage affecting the Allen Valleys area. Engineers have been dispatched with generators to restore power to multiple B4RN distribution cabinets. We estimate customer service to be resumed by 2 am. Update 00:30: Power to the affected distribution cabinets is now restored. Network Outage RESOLVED: Monday 25th December 9:13p.m. - Over Kellet: We are aware of an outage affecting 11 customers in the Swarthdale area. Engineers are investigating. Update 11:22p.m.: Engineers have located damage to our fibre and will be on site tomorrow, Tuesday, to commence repairs. Tuesday 6:55p.m.: Service restored to all 11 customers.

Network Outage RESOLVED: Saturday 23rd December 6:51p.m. - Borwick: We are aware of a network issue in the Borwick area. Engineers are investigating. Update 7:02p.m.: Network engineers have re-routed network traffic to maintain service for Borwick customers. Update Sunday 24th December 9:50a.m.: Only one customer was left without service due to this incident to whom service has now been restored.

Power Outages RESOLVED: Thursday 21st December - Crook and Cartmel Fell: We are aware of power outages in the Crook and Cartmel Fell areas. Our distribution cabinets will maintain power as they have battery back up and generators will be deployed as required. Electricity North West estimate for restoration is 6pm. Update 8:00a.m.: A generator has been deployed at Crook and one will be at Cartmel Fell in due course. We are constantly monitoring the power at both distribution cabinets. Update 10:21a.m.: Power has been restored in the location of our cabinet at Crook and a generator deployed at Cartmel Fell. Update 1:51p.m.: ENWL report power now restored in the Cartmel Fell area.

Network Outage RESOLVED: Sunday 3rd of December 10:15a.m. - Cartmell Fell: Your local B4RN distribution cabinet lost mains power earlier this morning and has been running on battery with limited runtime remaining. An engineer is in the vicinity in order to deploy a generator and is now awaiting assistance from a local farmer to move a fallen tree so he can complete his journey. There may be a short outage when the cabinet loses power before the generator is in place. Update 10:53a.m.: The distribution cabinet has now lost battery power and our engineer, although not too far away, can't currently get past the fallen trees blocking routes to the cabinet in order to deploy the generator. Electricity North West engineers are now visible in the area. Update 11:47a.m.: Engineers have deployed the generator and service has resumed. Update Monday 4th of December 8.15am: the generator requires refuelling to restore power to the cabinet. The local team is aware and is on its way. Update: 9.45am: the generator has been refuelled and power has been restored to the cabinet. Update Tuesday 5th of December 8.17am: Power was restored in the area overnight. Our cabinet has been switched from generator to mains power. Thank you to all the local volunteers who assisted with refuelling.

Power Outage: Friday 11th August 2023 - Grayrigg: We are aware a power cut has affected a number of customers in the Grayrigg area. Now the power is restored to your property, if you use Wi-Fi extenders/repeaters/mesh devices to increase your Wi-Fi range, you may experience an apparent loss of service caused by the those devices powering up faster than the B4RN router. To resolve this, turn the power off to each extender/repeaters/mesh device and the B4RN router. Then turn the power back on to the B4RN router and wait 3 minutes. Now turn the power on to each extender/repeaters/mesh device starting with the one nearest the B4RN router. This should resolve the issue.

Update 30th March 15:00: Engineers commenced work first thing this morning and have repaired the ducting and replaced the fibre. Splicing is expected to commence shortly. Update 18:15: Engineers intend to carry on working through the evening to bring connections live. Update 20:00: When service is restored we expect routers to restart a number of times. This is due to the scheduled maintenance carried out across the rest of our Norfolk network earlier today and is part of an automatic process. Please do not turn off your routers during this process. Tuesday the 21st March 2023: We are aware of a power cut affecting a number of customers in the Yealand Redmayne area. If you use Wi-Fi extenders/repeaters/mesh devices to increase your Wi-Fi range, you may experience an apparent loss of service caused by the those devices powering up faster than the B4RN router once the power is restored. To resolve this, turn the power off to each extender/repeaters/mesh device and the B4RN router. Then turn the power back on to the B4RN router and wait 3 minutes. Now turn the power on to each extender/repeaters/mesh device starting with the one nearest the B4RN router. This should resolve the issue.

Thursday the 16th March 2023: We are aware of an issue which has led to a loss of service for some customers following the maintenance carried out on Wednesday the 15th. This may have affected you even if you are not in an area covered by the reworks if you have a Zyxel router.
