Resolved Issues and Completed Maintenance

Planned Maintenance COMPLETED: Friday the 29th of May 9:00am to 4:00pm - 1 customer in Dunsop Bridge: This maintenance is being completed to move core fibre at risk of being damaged. Update 8:50am: Engineers are on route to these works. Update 10:05am: Engineers are on site and commencing works. Update 11:30am: The new cable is in and engineers have started splicing. Update 1:45pm: Engineers have completed splicing and the 1 affected service has been restored. Update 2:10pm: These works are now complete. Planned Maintenance: Thursday the 28th of May 12:00pm to 5:00pm - 5 customers in the Kirkby Lonsdale area: This maintenance is being undertaken to facilitate new connections to the B4RN network. The outage is not anticipated to cover the whole period. 5 customers, who have been notified, may experience periods where they are unable to connect to the internet. Please leave your router powered on so we can test your connection on completion of the works. Update 26/05/2026: These works have been rescheduled, and will now be undertaken on Thursday the 28th of May between 12:00pm to 5:00pm. The original maintenance window was between 9:00am and 2:00pm.

Planned Maintenance COMPLETED: Wednesday the 27th of May 8:30am to 4:00pm - 25 customers in Low Bentham: This maintenance is being undertaken to repair damaged fibre serving B4RN Broadband customers in this area, who have been notified. Update 3:30pm: This planned maintenance window is having to be extended to 6:00pm. Update 6:26pm: Planned works are overrunning the previously advised end time of 6pm. Engineers are still on site working to restore services. Update 7:25pm: Additional resource is required to complete these works. Teams will return to site on the morning of Thursday the 28th of May to continue works and restore services. Update Thursday the 28th of May 9:30am: Engineers are on route to the site of the repair. Update 9:45am: Engineers are on site and commencing the repair. Update 10:35am: Engineers have found and resolved the main issue will soon start connecting each customer individually. Update 10:45am: The first customers have come back live. Update 12:05pm: These works are now complete. Planned Maintenance COMPLETED: Thursday the 28th of May 0:00am (midnight) to 2:00am - Brough, Cautley, Dentdale, Firbank, Garsdale, Hardraw, Kaber, Mallerstang, Nateby, Ravenstonedale, Sedbergh, Stainmore: This maintenance is being undertaken to perform routine maintenance to B4RN network infrastructure that serves customers in these areas, who have been notified. The outage is not anticipated to cover the whole period. Please leave your router powered on so we can test your connection on completion of the works.

Network Outage RESOLVED: Friday the 22nd of May 12:10pm - Barbon: We are aware of an issue affecting 11 customers in this area. Fibre damage has been confirmed. Engineers are investigating. Update 1:30pm: An engineer team is on route to investigate. Update 2:20pm: Engineers have arrived on site to commence the repair. Update 4:45pm: Engineers have repaired the main cable and have started connecting each customer individually. The first customers have come back live. Update 5:40pm: These works are now complete. Planned Maintenance COMPLETED: Thursday the 21st of May 9:00am to 2:00pm - 28 customers in Dolphinholme: This maintenance is being undertaken to complete essential maintenance on B4RN core fibre providing service to B4RN Broadband customers, who have been notified. During that timeframe, you will experience periods when you are unable to connect to the internet or use your IP phones. The outage is expected to cover the whole period for 5 customers. The outage is not expected to cover the whole period for 23 customers. Update 9:10am: Engineers are on site and maintenance works have started. Update 9:55am: Services will begin go down as the live fibre is being cut in sections. Update 11:00am: Engineers have spliced affected customer fibres, restoring all active services. They are still working on core fibre in the area, so these services are still at risk. Update 3:00pm: These works have been completed. Network Outage RESOLVED: Wednesday the 20th of May 11:25am - Silverdale: We are aware of an issue affecting 9 customers in this area. Fibre damage is suspected. Engineers are investigating. Update 1:50pm: Engineers have located the damage and resources are being arranged for a repair. Update 3:50pm: A full repair with a core engineering team is scheduled to commence tomorrow morning, Thursday the 21st of May. Thursday the 21st of May: Update 8:45am: Engineers are en route to the location of the fibre damage. Update 9:20am: Engineers are on site and commencing the repair. Update 1:25pm: Engineers have repaired the main cable and have started connecting each customer individually. The first customers have come back live. Update 3:50pm: These works are now complete.
