Distribution Network Status
Planned Maintenance: Tuesday the 19th of May 0:00am (Midnight) to 2:00am - Cartmel Fell, Crook, Crosthwaite, Heversham, Levens, Strickland Roger, Witherslack: This maintenance is being undertaken to complete essential maintenance on B4RN core networking equipment providing service to B4RN Broadband customers in these areas, who have been notified. The outage is not expected to cover the whole period, you will experience periods where you are unable to connect to the internet or use your IP phones.
Planned Maintenance: Thursday the 21st of May 9:00am to 2:00pm - 28 customers in Dolphinholme: This maintenance is being undertaken to complete essential maintenance on B4RN core fibre providing service to B4RN Broadband customers, who have been notified. During that timeframe, you will experience periods when you are unable to connect to the internet or use your IP phones. The outage is expected to cover the whole period for 5 customers. The outage is not expected to cover the whole period for 23 customers.
Network Maintenance Windows: We normally use Tuesdays and Thursdays – 01:00 to 08:00 – as a maintenance window to perform network operations such as router firmware upgrades, equipment replacement, security updates, minor cable replacements, and other small works with low impact. Occasionally we may plan maintenance at other times for operational reasons. Any major works will be identified above and customers affected will be notified in advance.

Our engineers are based locally, which means the majority of faults for B4RN customers are resolved either same day or next day, with more than 80% fixed within 2-3 days.
