Network Outage: Saturday the 8th of August 8:15am - Heversham: We are aware of an issue affecting 4 customers in this area, who have been notified. Fibre damage is suspected. Update Monday the 10th of August 2:30pm: Engineers have been on site this morning and have identified partial damage to core fibre. An Emergency Maintenance window to complete a repair has been arranged and will take place tomorrow, Tuesday the 11th of August 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Emergency Maintenance: Tuesday the 11th August 9:00am to 5:00pm - 47 customers in Heversham: Emergency maintenance is being completed to repair damage to core fibre disrupting B4RN Broadband services. The outage is expected to cover the whole period and will affect 47 customers in Heversham, who have been notified. Please leave your router running so we can ensure your connection is restored following completion of these works. Update 8:55am: Engineers are en route to the site of the emergency maintenance. Update 9:25am: Engineers are on site to commence emergency maintenance works. Update 10:05am: Engineers will cut the damaged fibre cable shortly, ready to be removed.

Planned Maintenance: Thursday the 13th of August 8:30am to 12:00pm - 9 customers in Wennington: This planned maintenance is being carried out to replace a section of core fibre that serves your connection. This outage will cover the whole period and you will be unable to connect to the internet or use your IP phones. Please leave your router powered on so we can test your connection on completion of the works.
Planned Maintenance: Tuesday the 18th of August to Friday the 21st of August – 108 customers in Barrasford: These works are to improve the resilience of the local network. This maintenance will be undertaken over the course of 4 days. The outage will cover the specified period for each customer, who have been informed via email which outage affects their service:
Tuesday the 18th of August 9:00am to 5:00pm – 23 customers in the Barrasford area
Wednesday the 19th of August 9:00am to 5:00pm – 24 customers in the Wark area
Thursday the 20th of August 9:00am to 5:00pm – 28 customers in the Gunnerton area
Friday the 21st of August 9:00am to 5:00pm – 33 customers in the Birtley area
Please leave your router powered on so we can test your connection on completion of the works.
Network Maintenance Windows: We normally use Tuesdays and Thursdays – 01:00 to 08:00 – as a maintenance window to perform network operations such as router firmware upgrades, equipment replacement, security updates, minor cable replacements, and other small works with low impact. Occasionally we may plan maintenance at other times for operational reasons. Any major works will be identified above and customers affected will be notified in advance.
