You'll first be asked to make a pledge, a simple indication that you intend to invest when your community reaches the next stage. When the project is ready, you'll be invited to purchase shares.

Why do we ask for a pledge first?

A pledge isn't an investment. It's simply a promise that you intend to invest when your community's project is ready. We don't ask for money until we're confident a build can proceed. Pledges help us:

How investing works

Four simple steps

1. Choose how much you'd like to invest

   From £100 upwards. Most members invest between £500 and £10,000.

2. Complete your application

   Our online form takes around five minutes.

3. Become a B4RN member

   We'll confirm your investment and issue your share certificate.

4. Your investment starts making a difference

   Supporting new rural fibre builds across the network - or helping accelerate the one in your own community.

B4RN has been building rural fibre networks for more than a decade as a Community Benefit Society.

• Member owned

• FCA registered

• No external shareholders

• Interest paid annually

• Shares withdrawable after three years, subject to Board approval

*5% interest not guaranteed - capital at risk

Investment Offer - 2026

Available from 1 May 2026

Invest £1,500 or more in B4RN and receive:

• Your connection fee is waived

• 2–6 months of complimentary B4RN broadband, depending on your investment level

Open to new customers and existing shareholders, making a genuine new investment that increases their total shareholding. Subject to terms and conditions.

Investment bands:

• £1,500–£2,499 → 2 months free

• £2,500–£4,999 → 4 months free

• £5,000+ → 6 months free
