Broadband for the Rural North (B4RN) seeks to appoint a Chief Executive Officer.

The Directors seek to appoint a CEO to take on the leadership and management of the staff and activities of the company. The person appointed will hold three key areas of responsibility: network management; community engagement, and the management of finance and administration.

The CEO will maintain and develop B4RN’s national and international standing as a cutting-edge, community-based, optical fiber network provider to rural communities, and will work with the Board to take forward the strategic development of the company to maintain that position.

The Board is looking for a good manager of people, capable of providing high quality leadership and management of B4RN and its activities. We are searching for someone with sufficient technical expertise to enable effective management of specialist staff, and to focus future development of the network, as well as with a proven track record of working with and managing volunteers and community-based activities. We are looking for a strategic thinker with significant financial acumen who is able to maintain, foster and develop the vision and ethos of B4RN.

Salary will be by negotiation, and in the region of £45,000 p.a.
